UNBOXING: July 2015 BDJ Box

It's been a while since I got my last BDJ Box, the last time I guess was the Kawaii one. So I was really excited to get this one specially when I found out that this is their last regular box for the year (thinking they won't let us down :) ), and I'm most excited with the August box because it's their first elite box (thinking naman that they have pasabog!). And yes, I was not disappointed with the July box.

So what do we have here?

Dove Oxygen & Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner, both 180ml
I just tried this one, and it smells so good! As in, freshness all over! I haven't really checked if my hair has extra volume, but that's okay, my hair still smells fresh and it is soft too!

Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar
Just a mini/travel size but I'm still excited to use this one as I haven't used any Cetaphil product before.

Canmake Nail Polish
I also like this one. Its my color and I really like painting my nails in shade of green or pastels whether its summer or rainy season.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
Not a fan of this mascara, because the wand is so big and it's made of rubber (I prefer mascaras with fiber bristles). But I think its still nice to have a on-the go little tube of mascara in your bag (does that make sense??? lol). They also have a coupon for a complimentary makeupper and brow consultation. (Kaya lang, at the bottom, it says *Valid for 3 months from date of issue________ - as in blank. Bdjbox???)

Carmex Tube Lip Balm and Click Stick Lip Balm
I love this! With the type of weather we have here, I get chapped lips every now and then, so a great lip balm like this is a must have for me.

FS Luscious Lipstick
I'm excited to try this. I don't own any FS product and if I love this one, maybe its time for me to raid their counters. Btw, mine is in the shade of Primrose (Matte).

Celeteque Cleansing oil

Good thing the box has a pamphlet because I have no idea what this is. Lol. But yeah, at least I know what to do with this one. (It's basically a make up remover)

V10 Plus Serum

And lastly, this serum. This is the only type of sample that are included in the box that I don't really want. I mean, its a serum, an award winning serum from Japan, that you need to apply onto your face more than once or twice to see the effect. So how would I buy the full size (btw, it cost Php4,750) if I'm not sure about the product. Oh well, maybe I'm just skeptical about it and its pricey pa.

But nevertheless, I really like this month's Bdj box. The items included in the box are useful. If we will sum up the full size product, its for Php948 (I'm not sure if the nail polish is full size), but yeah, its a great deal for the price I payed which is Php580. Good job BDJ!!! Looking forward to my August box.

My Favorite Liquid Foundation

I have two favorite liquid foundation. Why two? Lemme explain..

If I want full coverage that will last me through out the day, I always use my Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation. If you watch  a lot of youtube videos (like I do), this is one of the most likeable liquid foundation, here in the Philippines and for international youtubers and bloggers, this is their favorite drugstore foundation. (Pwede bang sabihin na favorite department store foundation pag sa Pilipinas???)

Anyways, I will no longer make a review simply because this product has been reviewed a LOT of times already. (Search on youtube: Revlon ColorStay). So I really love this one specially because you can opt to buy in your skin type. I have oily skin, so I got mine in Combination/Oily Skin.  It says 24 hours on the cap, but I never had a chance to keep it on for 24 hours, but it can last you more than 8 hours. The only thing you need to be mindful of with this foundation is that you need to have blending skills, and you have to blend away once you put on your face. And btw, it doesn't have a pump.

My other favorite (not second) is the L'Oreal Paris  Le Tient True Match foundation. I just recently got this back in May, when they had the Great Make up Sale, and I instantly loved it! It is not full coverage which is great for me, because I really don't like the 'Foundation Day-Everyday' look. It is super duper blendable that you can apply it just like how you apply a moisturizer. I also think that it last me more than 8 hours as well. Though, it is not oily friendly so keep in mind that you need to retouch with powder if shining shimmering splendid ka na (same as the Revlon). And one good thing with this foundation is it has a pump! Ang saya lang because it's not messy.

Both of them are highly recommended, specially in this kind of weather we have in Manila. I believe that both of them are for Php 899 on your leading department stores. And cheaper of course on online shops. Also, both of them has SPF, so win-win! :D

Review: Love & Beauty by Forevere 21 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

One of my favorite stores is Forever 21. Reason? Its cheap, a lots of cute tops and dresses, they have a plus size section :) and they have cute finds. And as my usual Forever 21 visits, once I'm already set to pay for what I got, a ton of abubuts will make me stop at the counter area. The last time I went there, I got 2 additional items, one was the hydrating lip balm (fail) and this waterproof eyeliner.

This is not my first Love & Beauty item so I was really eager to get my hands on these eyeliner, and it says Waterproof! And I also want to practice my skills in using a liquid eyeliner. I got mine on the shade Black/Noir. It doesn't really says anything on the packaging but the ingredients.

Applicator
And so I tried it on both my eyes and it dries matte. But, it felt so heavy on my eyes and maybe because of my skills, it somehow was applied on my lashes; and when I tried to remove them from my lashes, part of my actual lashes came off as well. I have to remove it because it is really feels heavy on my lids and it is flaking.

About 2 minutes after application.
It also felt heavy even if I applied it on the back of my hands. I tried not to stretch my hands just to give it a good review but it really flaked.

After 30 minutes
Just after 30 minutes, it is flaking to much. Too much that you can even remove it from your hands by pulling the eyeliner itself.

I have it compared with one of my favorite liquid eyeliner which is the Avon Extra Lasting Liquid Eyeliner. It is not waterproof nor smudge proof but it is long lasting.

4 hours after
After almost 4 hours, it did not last. It did not smudge, because it flaked away! (if may ganung term). Unhappy. The picture says it all.

Price: Php 225

I definitely do not recommend this to anyone. Maybe the reason Forever 21 does not have any testers for their make up products is because some of them are not good. It really is a hit or miss. Sayang pera. :(
